1. FPT University’s Dedicated Psychological Counseling Office

FPT University (FPTU) has continuously demonstrated its strong commitment to student well-being. Since 2016, the university has established a dedicated Psychological Counseling Office, providing free and professional mental health support to students. This unit plays a vital role in creating a safe and supportive space where students can openly share their challenges, receive timely counseling, and develop essential life skills for resilience and personal growth.

The Psychological Counseling Office at FPT University is open from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday, offering free and confidential counseling services for all students.

2. Key highlights of the Psychological Counseling Office

  • One-on-One Counseling Services: Students experiencing psychological difficulties can register for counseling via the office’s official Facebook fanpage, Google Form, email, or by signing up directly at the university. Each counseling process may include multiple sessions over several weeks or months, with each session lasting approximately 90 minutes. All shared information is strictly confidential under a signed privacy agreement. On average, the office supports more than 300 cases per semester. In 2024, a total of 1,217 students received individualized counseling and psychological support from professional psychologists throughout the year.

  • Organize workshops: The Psychological Counseling Office regularly organizes workshops and group activities to promote mental health awareness among students. These workshops cover a wide range of topics such as stress management, emotional intelligence, effective communication, and balancing academic and personal life. Through interactive discussions, games, and sharing sessions, students gain practical skills to cope with pressure and maintain psychological well-being.

2. University-wide mental health events

  • HẺM 202 – A Mental Health Support and Connection Space for FPTU Students in Ho Chi Minh City: HẺM 202 is a mental health support hub at FPT University Ho Chi Minh City, offering students a safe place to share, connect, and seek counseling. The space provides individual consultations, group activities, and creative programs like the “Ráng đi” storytelling series to encourage openness and resilience.

  • Seminar “Gen Z: Listen to Yourself” organized by FPT University: On January 4, 2025, more than 1,700 students from Phan Chau Trinh High School participated in the seminar “Gen Z: Listen to Yourself” organized by FPT University. The event aimed to help young people better understand their inner world, overcome pressure, and shape their future with confidence. Through engaging discussions and interactive Q&A sessions, students gained valuable guidance on self-awareness and career orientation. The seminar concluded with enthusiasm and motivation, reinforcing FPT University’s commitment to supporting young generations in their journey of personal growth and future success.
