FPT UNIVERSITY PRIORITIES PEDESTRIAN ACCESS ON CAMPUS

1. Institutional Commitment

FPT University explicitly prioritizes pedestrian accessibility and safety as part of its sustainable campus planning policy.
This commitment is stated in the university’s internal design guidelines for campus development, which require all new construction projects to:

  • Provide barrier-free pedestrian circulation between academic, residential, and recreational areas;
  • Restrict motorized vehicle access in core campus zones;
  • Integrate green and shaded walkways into the master layout to promote walking and reduce emissions.

2. Campus-Wide Implementation

All five FPT University campuses — Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Can Tho, and Quy Nhon — have implemented pedestrian-oriented designs:

  • FPT University Hanoi Campus: A central pedestrian corridor links the Main Gate, Library, and Dormitories, where all motorized vehicles are banned.

Filled with colorful flowers and lush greenery, these paths create a refreshing and inviting environment that highlights the campus’s commitment to sustainability and walkability.
