From an early stage, driven by the need to manage a multi-campus organization across Vietnam and to leverage its advantage as part of a leading technology corporation, FPTU has implemented a comprehensive digital transformation policy across all management processes — including administrative operations, teaching, and learning.
Thanks to early investments in digital infrastructure and transformation policies, during the two years of the COVID-19 pandemic, no department or faculty at FPTU experienced a single day of disruption.
Under the initiative “Smart Office – Green Work,” both administrative and academic staff can perform their duties through digital platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and the university’s online learning system (MOOC).

All work operations are accessible through the integrated mobile app My FPT Next, allowing employees to manage tasks directly from their personal devices.

During the pandemic, the rate of online working reached up to 95%, powered by FPT’s digital ecosystem, ensuring continuous operation without interruption.
After the pandemic, FPTU enhanced its Work-From-Home (WFH) infrastructure, allowing staff to work online 2–3 days per week.
Employees living more than 40 km from campus, those with young children, or those in specialized digital-based roles are permitted to work remotely up to 50% of the time.
Collaboration between the university’s five campuses across Northern, Central, and Southern Vietnam remains seamless through fully digitized coordination and online meeting systems.
In teaching and learning, all courses now include 25–50% online sessions, ensuring flexibility and resilience.

These policies have not only reduced commuting and operational costs but also enhanced efficiency and lowered total greenhouse gas emissions from personal transportation by approximately 7.5% annually.
